Abstract:

The environment pollution and ecological problems caused by long-time exploitation of coal resources have been seriously threatening the survival and sustainable development of cities dependent on coal recourses. With the guidance of ecological city theory, this paper discusses the necessity and measures of ecology-orientation for cities dependent on coal mining. Specifically, taking Tangshan as target city, this paper, based on the current environmental and ecological conditions of Tangshan, puts forward the approaches to construct an ecology-orientated city.
